 DiaryApart from the show dates, most of this information is subject to change. February - March 2012Horton still has a few small problems to be fixed before it goes out to Luton in April. Three quarters of it is up in the big room while track circuits are fixed. Some of the older baseboards are mdf and these have sagged slightly so some trackwork needs re-leveling at the baseboard joints. Also there is some scenic work around the station still to be done. Farnborough Road needs a lot of work before it can go out as an oval in October. Working on one board at a time until April. After that we may be able to set up bigger groups of boards. Work has started on the fiddle yard and new point motors.See list. The Anerly Pits / Beck Lane baseboards have been rearranged so work can start on them. A new layout ? Another change of name ? Blackfriars Bridge Station still making slow but very detailed progress in the clubroom. Moulds are being made for some of the complex brickwork details, but nothing has been cast yet. 13th - 14th April 2012Club vintage show at St Johns. Details As many members as possible are needed on the evening of Friday 13th from about 4pm until 9pm for setting up. Members are needed all day Saturday from about 8am until 8pm for various tasks during the show and again as many members as possible for packing up. We have to empty the halls before 7pm because the chairs and tables need to be setup for another function. There are lots of tressle tables to be moved, so come even if you can only spend an hour on Friday or Saturday evening. 20th - 21st April 2012Horton to Luton for a one day show on Sat 21st. Details. 19th - 20th October 2012The 20th October clashes with the Uckfield show. Main club show at St Johns. Details Members needed on the evening of Friday from about 4pm until 9pm for setting up, all day Saturday from about 8am until 8pm for various tasks during the show and for packing up.
